![]() Then when Negan threatened to make Rick chop off Carl’s hand, fans thought that maybe this time it was going to happen, or that perhaps Rick’s fate would be passed down to his son. So when Negan captured Rick at the beginning of season 7, fans thought the scene might finally happen. This was Issue #28, when Rick was captured by the Governor, similarly to how he was captured by Negan on the show. In fact, the Governor chopped off Rick’s right hand in their first encounter. In the comics, Rick lost his right hand a long time ago. Gimple had this to say.Fans have been wondering for a while if Rick is ever going to lose his hand. When asked if it was shot in a deliberate way that would give fans hope Glenn wasn't being torn apart by zombies, Scott M. With Glenn, however, we do see him fall into the group of zombies, and we do see him screaming in pain, with blood spurting everywhere, but we never do see any actual proof that he is being eaten. Most deaths in The Walking Dead are definitively shown, with Walkers literally tearing into their flesh as they're eaten alive. But we're still in the middle of the movie." They're kind of stopping in the middle of the movie, which they have to because there's a week between the reels. I hope that the audience will just wait to see the greater story and see how it all plays out. Ultimately, it's all part of a bigger story. There are twists and turns, and bad things happen. "I definitely want viewers to have an emotional experience either way. When asked about the backlash about not giving fans a definitive answer about his death, Scott M. Gimple wouldn't say one way or another if Glenn has died. Gimple released a statement that revealed fans will see, "some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or current story" in upcoming episodes. Curiously, the Talking Dead after-show didn't list Glenn in their In Memoriam segment, and Scott M. In this brutal scene, Glenn was trapped on top of a dumpster with Nicholas (Michael Traynor), who decided to end his life, but in doing so, ended up dragging Glenn into the zombie horde below him. The final moments of Thank You seemingly revealed that the beloved character Glenn Rhee ( Steven Yeun) has died. Then again, the second episode took place entirely in Alexandria, and Thank You took place entirely on the road, but since Here's Not Here is a half-hour longer, it's likely that we'll see the survivors make it back to Alexandria. It's worth noting, though, that next week's episode, Here's Not Here, will be 90-minutes long, where this burning question will surely be addressed in some manner. Unfortunately, he wouldn't shed any light on how Rick may get out of this jam, stranded in the stalled RV with a horde of walkers around him. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say something definitive: Rick is OK regarding that cut. "It's entirely possible, but we haven't really gotten into it on the show. Gimple teased that it may be possible, but, in a surprisingly definitive statement, said fans shouldn't worry about Rick. When asked if a person could get infected in this way, Scott M. While Rick is still alive at the end of the episode, some fans have wondered whether or not the wound on Rick's hand may have been infected by zombie blood, and if that could cause him to turn into a walker. Before we get to the controversial death shown in Thank You, the episode's final moments had a frantic Rick, constantly nursing his wounded hand. ![]()
